8 Days Mombasa / Tsavo West / Amboseli / Taita Hills / Wildlife lodge safari
Ideally suited to those staying in Mombasa, this short safari travels through Tsavo, Amboseli and private sanctuary of Sarova Taita Hills. It is compact, but provides a good opportunity to view a diverse variety of wildlife, scenery and traditions.
Day 1: Mombasa
Arrive at Mombasa airport, meet and transfer to your beach hotel in north coast, Neptune Beach resort on all-inclusive basis.
Day 2: Mombasa / Tsavo West
This morning, drive to Tsavo West, part of Kenya’s largest national park, arriving at Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge for lunch. This afternoon enjoy a game drive in the park, including a visit to the Rhino sanctuary. Tonight watch wildlife as they come to drink at the lodge’s floodlit waterhole. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.
Day 3: Tsavo West / Amboseli
Early breakfast and departure for Amboseli, game viewing en route as well as a visit to Mzima Springs where you can observe hippos, crocodiles and fish from an underground glass bottomed observatory. Continue to Amboseli through Shetani lava flow arriving at Kilima Safari Camp for lunch. Most famous for its elephant population, Amboseli is also home to a variety of other game, including lion, cape buffalo , cheetah, hyena, zebra, giraffes, etc. Dinner and overnight at the camp.
Day 4: Amboseli / Taita Hills
After an early morning game drive, when you also view the eternal snows of Mt. Kilimanjaro, the highest in Africa, we return to the lodge for breakfast. Continue to Taita Hills, a privately-owned game sanctuary. Lunch at Taita Hills lodge, enjoy game viewing this afternoon. Dinner and overnight at Salt Lick lodge, built on stilts. From your balcony you can view animals as they come to drink at the waterhole.
Day 5: Taita Hills / Mombasa
Early morning game drive, breakfast and return to Mombasa, arriving in time for lunch at your coastal beach resort. Afternoon at leisure.
Day 6 & 7: Mombasa
Two full days at the beach, enjoying the hotel facilities or simply lazing about by the golden sandy beach. Various excursions will be proposed by our representative, including Mombasa tour, a visit to a local village, full day dhow trip for snorkeling, etc. All meals and drinks at your hotel.
Day 8: Mombasa / International Flight
Depending on the schedule of your home bound flight, you will be transferred to Mombasa International airport.
